PUBLIC NOTICE
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(2)
EMERGENCY CLOSURE OF
STATION ROAD, SHREWLEY
Warwickshire County Council hereby closes Station Road, Shrewley
to vehicular traffic.
Reason for
Restriction
To enable emergency highway works to excavate,
locate and repair HV cable fault.
Closure Effective from: 5 August 2026 for a period of up to 21 days or
until remedial works are completed, whichever is the sooner (and may
be followed by a temporary closure order (the maximum permitted
combined duration being 18 months).
Anticipated completion date: 19 August 2026
Access & Diversion:
An alternative route will be signed and is available via Station Road,
Pinley Road, Dark Lane, Hockley Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated
adjacent to the length of the highway to be closed, if any, will be
maintained at all times. Vehicle access will be maintained where
possible.
