Planning Applications
Warwick District Council decide all planning applications and formally consult with the Parish Council on all applications within the Parish, to ensure that the views of the local community are taken into account.
The majority of applications are met with a NEUTRAL response from the Parish Council (often submitted with observations for the aid of the planning team). The Parish Council cannot simply object to something because we don’t “like it”, it must ensure that any comments or objections are based on valid planning grounds and must have a sound basis in planning law.
If the Parish Council OBJECTS or SUPPORTS an application and the Planning Team have an opposite view, then the application will be referred to the Warwick District Planning Committee for determination.
Where should I send my comments?
Members of the public can make their views known to the Parish Council but they should comment directly to the District Council on any application they are concerned about. To see details of all current planning applications, please go to the Warwick District Council Planning portal.
