Local Planning Applications for Shrewley Parish

October Applications (PDF, 342 KB)

FROM 31 OCTOBER 2026, a National Scheme of Delegation (NSD) for planning functions in England comes into effect. The NSD requires that the majority of planning applications must now be determined by Planning Officers and that some applications, predominantly major proposals may be referred to Planning Committee.

The NSD replaces the Council’s current Scheme of Delegation and means that there will be significant changes to the way that planning decisions are handled.

As a consequence, the current Planning Committee triggers which include:-

  • the number of written objections or letters of support received where the officer recommendation is contrary to the representations that have been made;
  • the receipt of an objection or a letter of support from a Town or Parish Council where the officer recommendation is contrary to the representation made; and
  • a request from a Councillor that the application be considered by Planning Committee

WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE for planning applications to be determined by Planning Committee

Where should I send my comments?

Parish Councils will continue to comment on planning applications in the usual way and members of the public can make their views known to the Parish Council but they should comment directly to the District Council on any application they are concerned about.

All comments that are received, whether they be from local residents, other interested parties, Councillors, and Town and Parish Councils, will continue to be fully taken into account in their assessment.

To see details of all current planning applications, please go to the Warwick District Council Planning portal.
